Calibre and Enolsoft PDF Converter are both programs that allow you to convert files (e-books and documents). They support several input and output formats, preserve the structure and formatting well (depending on the conversion direction) and have the function of converting several files at once.

But Calibre is initially an organizer of an e-book library in which conversion is one of many functions. This is free and open-source software for Windows, macOS and Linux. The inbuilt converter is focused on working with e-books (EPUB, MOBI, FB2 and other formats). It has a huge amount of plugins, including these for converting files.

Enolsoft PDF Converter is a commercial product (costs $10-$15) from Enolsoft Co and specializes exclusively in the PDF format. It can convert PDF to Word (.docx), PowerPoint, Pages, Keynote, ePub, HTML, images, etc. It supports selective conversion - for example, you can select individual pages, ranges. It better preserves the original formatting, links, images, tables of the PDF document. The conversion speed is also higher.
