Librera vs ReadEra

November 04, 2025 | Author: Maria Lin
Librera and ReadEra are both free Android e-book readers. They support EPUB, PDF, MOBI, DJVU and other formats, allow to customize fonts, margins, spacing and themes, enable night mode and autoscroll, remember your last reading position and allow to add bookmarks and notes.

Librera, however, has a TTS function for reading books aloud, supports cloud catalogs and network folders for downloading books, allows to create personal book collections, view and edit ebook metadata. It supports comic book formats and even has a dedicated comic book mode. Its interface is more flexible and offers a wide range of settings.

ReadEra is a very minimalist app, but it's very stable and fast (especially it's noticeable when opening large PDF files). It has fewer ads and notifications. Unique features include automatic book grouping by series and author and convenient citation and highlighting system.
