Video: How to convert PDF to Kindle text book?

August 25, 2022

As you know Kindle can open PDF books. But in PDF files text is tied to pages so you can't enlarge it, and it's not suitable to read such books on standard 6-inch screen of Kindle e-reader. And there are no PDF to MOBI converters, because such conversion is impossible in most cases.

The good news is that Kindle e-readers also support TXT files, so you can convert PDF to TXT and copy it to Kindle. Of course all book images and TOC will be lost but if it's a fiction book, you probably don't need these images and TOC. The main thing is that you can adjust the font size as you like.

So to convert PDF to Kindle text book:

1. Open the PDF book in Adobe Reader

2. Click Save As Other ... Text and save the ebook

3. To copy ebook to Kindle you can use Kindlian. Add the file to your local library and then drag it to Kindle.

4. Eject Kindle. And you can read your book now.

Note: you can't convert PDF files in which pages are not scanned images
