Video: How to manage Kindle collections?

August 25, 2022

Amazon provides two ways to manage Kindle collections. First - is to manage them on Kindle e-reader. But due to the limitations and low speed of the e-Ink screen, it's hardly can be called comfortable. Especially if you have dozens or hundreds of books.

The second way is to manage collections in your online Amazon account. Go to the menu "Accounts & Lists", select "Your Content and Devices" and in the drop-down list Show select "Collections". The collections are synced between your Kindle and online account, but the web-interface is also very limited and doesn't provide the comfortable way to organize your library.

The third way - is to use third-party software - Kindlian. It allows to backup all your books from Kindle to PC and manage your library in a beautiful interface. If you have not only purchased books but also free downloaded books - this option is the best for you.

You can create new collections, drag books between collections, remove books from collections, display and sort books in collections. Your collections won't be synced back to Kindle, but Kindlian's idea is that you keep only few books on the e-reader, while your library is on your PC. So you don't need to sync collections to Kindle.
