Video: How to transfer books from computer to Kindle?

August 25, 2022

If you want to transfer books that you downloaded from other sources to your Kindle e-reader, first of all make sure that the book format is supported by Kindle. It supports MOBI, PDF and TXT ebooks.

You can transfer books via USB or by email (See How to send books to Kindle).

To transfer books via USB, you need to connect Kindle to computer, open the folder where your books located, copy needed books, open Kindle's flash drive and find the Documents folder, paste books to this folder and eject Kindle's flash drive using the tray icon.

If you want to make this process easier - you can use Kindlian. You can keep all your local library in Kindlian and if you want to copy books to Kindle - you just drag them with your mouse. Then click Eject button - and you're done.

Even more, if your ebook format is not supported by Kindle, Kindlian will automatically convert it to Kindle's MOBI format.
